Tips for the Baking Zone
- Install built-in cooling racks above the counter, making sure racks are secure enough to support heavy loaves or cakes.
- Create a two-level countertop, with a lower level for kneading and rolling dough.
- Minimize cleaning as you bake, by investing in two sets of mixing bowls, measuring cups and measuring spoons.
- Insert parchment paper or tea towels between stacked cookie sheets and baking tins to prevent scratching your bake ware.
- Store baking supplies in a cupboard or large drawer directly below the baking preparation counter.
